About Neil Bales

Neil Bales considers it a privilege to lead financial advisors and is excited to help them run, grow, and protect their business at First State Financial Management. His goal is to empower a client first culture and create an inspired and motivated team focused on the mission of meeting the full range of clients’ wealth management needs by providing holistic financial advice that leverages the extensive suite of products and services available, all delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.

Working in the wealth management industry since 2010, Neil has served in a variety of sales, consulting, and leadership roles. Most recently, he was tasked with running the Southern Colorado wealth management branches for a nationwide wirehouse firm.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Neil holds a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Business Administration from Truman State University. He believes in the importance of strong communities and looks forward to getting involved in the organizations and causes impacting those communities served by First State Financial Management.

In his free time, Neil enjoys a variety of hobbies. You can find him getting lost in the woods camping, out on the golf course, cheering on the St. Louis Blues, cruising in his classic Ford truck, firing up the grill for a BBQ, or simply at home reading a good book and relaxing with his pet bunny, Artemis.
