About Brett Ellis

Brett Ellis is the Financial Professional representing First State Financial Management in southeast Missouri, including the Sikeston, Malden, Portageville, Hayti, and Kennett branches. Brett graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and brings experience in the financial industry. As a former small 
business owner who grew up in East Prairie, MO, Brett’s connection to the area allows him to understand the unique 
needs of its people and communities in achieving financial success. 

Understanding all aspects of his client’s financial picture is Brett’s top priority. Brett builds his practice around his 
values deeply rooted in trust, integrity, and building a long-lasting legacy. He uses a consultative process to create a comprehensive, long-term financial plan tailored to each client. These plans include an encompassing approach 
around tax mitigation, asset protection, retirement/preretirement investment strategies, and estate planning. The 
resources available at FSFM and the partnership with First State Community Bank and First State Insurance Agency 
give him the right tools to help individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals and dreams. When he’s not serving clients, Brett takes an active role in his community and is involved with organizing the East Prairie Youth Football League. His hobbies include hunting and golfing.
